Now it's Monday

Well here it is Monday - I have no idea where the time goes, but obviously my good intentions go out the window.

Weekend was good, but sad in some ways.  Our first year with the A, Sterling was our first tour and we took over the hotel.  Lots of A's, lots of A'ers.  Every year the group got smaller and smaller till this year there were only 6 of us at the Hotel on Friday night and 4 on Saturday.  I can only imagine what next year will bring.

We had a good time anyway.  Friday night enjoyed a great meal with Bob, Frank and their family at Golden Valley.  As usual ate too much, drank too much and had lots of laughs.  We cut tradition and took a Taxi there.  Flat fee in Trenton of $8.00 to go anywhere, so was well worth it to be able to enjoy and not worry about getting home.

Sunday morning the 6 of us enjoy a hearty breakfast at a new breakfast place by the hotel called Helens and then headed to the Flea Market.  There we all split up, but not before bumping into Dick and Diane.  As we wandered around stands of greasy, rusty old car parts Glenn noted fewer and fewer Model A parts this year.  No great finds so we took off to enjoy the beautiful weather.  Off to Belleville and enjoyed a really tasty lunch at The Boathouse . ohhh so tasty and warm enough to sit on the patio and enjoy the boats being dropped (well not litterly) in the marina.  Very entertaining.  Then a tour into Prince Edward County which is always so beautiful.  Back to the hotel for some down time (because touring in the A is SOooo stressful ;-) ) and then back in our Taxi to Tomasso's in Trenton where Dick and Diane had made reservations to meet us for dinner.  Another great restaurant, great food and wonderful company.

Sunday, the weather switched again and we followed Bob and Frank back home the cool sunny day changed into a cold rainy day.

And that was this years Sterling.  Photo's and video's to be posted soon.

The next planned event is Inspection Day on May 29th.  Hopefully we'll be out in the A and have something more to report before then. :-)
