The Fab Four Finally Find Florida

Not too much to report today - we had a good breakfast, packed up and started on our way to Florida.  An uneventful drive (just the way I like it) we made it to Beaufort SC and felt it was a nice spot to wander the boutique shops and have lunch.  We found a great water front patio where we had a great lunch and ummm beverage.  Back on the road we finally crossed the state line and pulled into the welcome centre for a photo op and ice cream.

We arrived at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, what a beautiful location.  We checked it and unloaded and had a great time with our Valet Tommy who was a wealth of information and a lot of fun (he got a good tip).  Our rooms are gorgeous with a balcony that gives us a great view of one of the holes on this PGA Championship golf course.  We found out that starting tomorrow the celebrities start to arrive for the Bill Murray Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament.  They will have a silent auction tomorrow night (I don't think we have any hope), then the tournament this weekend.  Hmmm wonder if we'll run into anyone we recognize?  Bill Murray and his brother Andrew also have a restaurant on site here called "Caddy Shack" - imagine that.  They both own it but Andrew runs it and Bill visits regularly.  We will be going there for a meal to check it out.

Between the Model A Meet and the golf tournament this is going to be a crazy weekend.

After unpacking we headed out to the Kings Head Pub which had been recommended by many people along the way who heard we were going to St. Augustine.  It did not disappoint - great fish and chips.
\Now we are back at the resort, catching up and blogging :-)

Tomorrow we tour in the A - weather still looks like it's going to be great - YEAH :-)
