Hilton Head

Another brief update.  I had hoped to catch up tonight while it is rainy and cold out but .. well... hmmm... lots of excuses.  Mainly that uploading the video's is taking forever.

We had a wonderful day, night and morning with Ruth, Sandi and Chad, great to see them as always,  good to catch up, good food, good drinks and lots of laughs.  As always very hard to say good-bye.  After a good breakfast we left them and headed on the road to Hilton Head, SC, we went through some torrential downpours, so bad you could hardly see 2 feet in front of you.  We actually saw a mini van in front of us roll over a few times in the medium.  We pulled over right away to see if we could help but the guy in front of us was faster and the girl in the mini-van walked out un marked and not even shaking.  We took our time and carried on through Savannah and on Hilton Head.  IT'S COLD - when we arrived it was only 11C :-(  and a constant drizzle.  This is a real shame as the hotel is gorgeous, right on the ocean, beautiful pool and Tiki bar, all empty today.

Ahh well not much you can do about the weather, we had a great meal at The Crab Shack and a nice hot bowl of She Crab soup was perfect, along with fresh seafood right off the boat - mmmm heaven on earth.

A little bit of wandering in the shops and then back to the hotel.  As mentioned I am busy uploading photo's and video's but as always it is taking much longer than expected, probably partially because of the slow hotel connection.  So you may just see random photo's and video's added, but keep checking they are coming :-)

I see from the weather Newmarket is going to get snow on Saturday and Sunday :-(  that's really going to ruin my tan *laugh*
